Facebook is testing a dating feature on Messenger -

Facebook has decided every popular service to add next to its Messenger app. Previously, Snapchat now Tinder like feature on Messenger. They were testing this feature with select users, who make plans with their friends in Facebook.

Facebook will spend nearly $1 billion on original video content -

The Wall Street Journal reports that Facebook is going to spend as much as $1 billion on original video content. Investment is still a fraction of what digital competitors, like $6 billion by Netflix and $4.5 billion Amazon shell out.

Flipkart's Big Billion Days will starts from September 20 -

Flipkart has announced its highly-anticipated 'Big Billion Days' sale from September 20 to September 24 later this month. Company will provide customers with various financing options like no cost EMI, product exchange, BuyBack Guarantee, buy now pay later option and EMIs on debit cards across different banks.

Google may buy HTC's smartphone section -

Google is reportedly considering acquiring the struggling smartphone maker HTC. However, HTC's virtual reality business would not be part of the deal. Hope Google will do its best for HTC, like Motorola.

Assam signs MoU with Google to take Internet connectivity to the remotest part -

The Assam government signed an MoU with Google India to bring Internet connections to 26,000 villages and 1,500 tea garden areas in Assam. Chief Minister said the ties with Google was a way forward to strongly pitch Guwahati as a natural gateway to the South-East Asian countries.

Google is rolling out HDR support for YouTube app -

Google starts rollout HDR video support for YouTube mobile app. HDR support is available on HDR screens capable, Galaxy S8, Note 8, Pixel, LG V30, and Xperia XZ Premium. 

Google Assistant to get major updates -

Google made the announcement and teased a host of new functionalities for it's virtual assistant at the GDD developer event. Google Assistant now able store more of your preferences, answer contextual questions, able to bring relevant information what your camera sees etc.

WhatsApp gets Picture-in-Picture video calling feature -

Facebook owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp start rolling Picture-in-Picture video calling and ability to have text as status message on its Android and iPhone app.
